Financial Facts

• HMS pays a small stipend for the Director. That’s it.  The stipend works out to pennies per hour.

• Licensing is paid by previous year’s ticket sales.  Licensing is the legal permission to stage a copyrighted production, advertise, and sell tickets.  More popular plays are more expensive to license.

• HMS Stage Boosters Inc. pays all other expenses.

Clue (2025-26) Production Expenditures: $3,000*
(costumes, sets, props, program, cast party, etc.)

Ongoing Expenditures: $1,500
(i.e. insurance, association membership, taxes, website, storage)

*Note: Musicals are more expensive to produce.  For this year's production, we will need to hire a choreographer and a sound engineer.
